 Welcome!!!!!!
Attala Art started as the "turn-of-the-century farmhouse turned art gallery & studios," located in rural Attala County, Mississippi, nestled amidst flowers on the side of a hill, and cradled between the woods and Long Creek.
In 1996, Brad and Ginger Joyner began in this rural paradise to create wheel-thrown and slab-built pottery, paintings, including Ginger's one-of-a-kind works of delta blues musicians, and other art. Attala Art expanded to the French Quarter in New Orleans in the summer of 2004. Post-Katrina, Attala Art reopened in early October, 2005, at our gallery The Artists's Market at 1228 Decatur. We look forward to seeing everyone in the French Quarter as soon as you can make it down! There is much life in the great City of New Orleans! Come down and see us soon! Welcome to our site!Click here for more information and our phone number!

You'll love our handmade pottery, paintings, and other art!!!!

New Orleans Pottery
Twice-Fired, Hand-Glazed Indoor/Outdoor Hangable Blue Gator--14 inches--$74

This handmade (hangable) Blue Gator is twice-fired to approximately 1800 degrees Fahrenheit. We brush three coats of glaze on it between firings.

While the third coat of glaze is still wet, we press chunks of colored glass into the wet surface of the glaze. When it is fired for the second time, the glass melts, but doesn't totally combine with the background color.

The result is a lovely multi-colored/textured effect, which creates a unique result every time.

Twice-Fired, Hand-Glazed, Foodsafe Cobalt Blue Watermeter Dish--$34
5 1/2 inch to 8 inch individually handmade dish, which is foodsafe, dishwasher and microwave safe. Size and color may vary due to the individual nature of each piece of handrolled, twice-fired, hand-glazed pottery.
This dish was originally formed by making a clay impression of an actual watermeter (water main) cover from outside our gallery at 1228 Decatur Street in New Orleans' historic French Quarter.

Fleur De Lis, or flower of the lily, was once the symbol of the French royal family. The Fleur De Lis is now widely accepted as the symbol of the City of New Orleans.
